RESOLUTION
No. 80 - 35
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF
A FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM GRANT AND THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
MENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPAR TMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES, DIVISION OF RECREA TION AND PARKS,
REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOCCASIN LAKE
PARK.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources
on February 22, 1980, approved a grant to the City of Clearwater under the
Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program in the amount of
$100,000.00 to be used to develop Moccasin Lake Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission on behalf of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, wishes to accept the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commis sion of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
on behalf of the City of Clearwater hereby accepts the Florida Recreation
Development Assistance Program grant from the State of Florida Department
of Natural Resources, Division of Recreation and Parks, in the amount of
$100,000 to be used to develop Moccasin Lake Park.
2. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby
authorizes the City Manager to execute all appropriate documents and serve
as representative for the City of Clearwater in the acceptance and administration
of the grant.
3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
