1. Call To Order
The Vice Chair called the meeting to order at 8 a.m.
2. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda
Rudy Mikeleck expressed support for the efforts of the board and shared
experiences with reduced marine life sightings in places of development
along Clearwater Beach.
3. New Business Items
3.1 Stevenson Creek Advocacy Group Draft Letter
Representatives of the Stevenson Creek Advocacy Group discussed the
drafted letter of support for a manatee protection zone. Discussion ensued
regarding needed edits to the verbiage around the docks being eliminated
with focus being honed on the statistics behind the need for increased
protection measures for manatee wellbeing.

Marine and Aviation Director Mike MacDonald said the letter will support and
define a manatee protection zone and expanding slow speed areas in
Stevenson Creek.
