ORDINANCE NO. 3569-84
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2085 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES
AND INSTALLATION FOR THE CLEARWATER CABLE TV
FRANCHISE, TO PROVIDE AN OPTIONAL INST ALLA TION SERVICE
CALLED "WALL FISH" AND ESTABLISH THE CHARGES THEREFOR;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING FOR THE SEVERABILlTY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF;
PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENACTMENT;
AND PROVIDING FOR 11-E EFFECTIVE DA TE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the holder of the franchise for coble TV in the City of Clearwater now
has an optional installation service which would conceal the signal cable; and
WHEREAS, in order to allow this service to be offered to our citizens, the
ordinance establishing such rates and charges must be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section I. That Section 3, Residential Installation, of Ordinance No. 2085, which
was passed by the Ci ty C cmmissi on of the Ci ty of CI earwater on February 21, 1980, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 3. Residential Installation
a. The maximum charge for any trip to a residence for installation of standard
service for transmission of all television viewing signals, irrespective of
number of outlets, shall be $15.00. There shall be no charge for any such
installation requested by a customer within thirty days of the initial
availability of service for that dwelling unit.
b. The following maximum rates shall apply for each trip for such standard
installation to any apartment unit or apartment building recreation area or
condominium common area or cooperative apartment unit or mobile home
unit:
(I) Time and materials not to exceed $15.00 per unit.
(2) There shall be no charge for any installation requested by a customer
within thirty days of the initial availability of service for that dwelling
unit.

The cost for non-standard wall fish or those requiring extensive work will be
billed on a time and materials basis at a rate agreed upon in advance by the
customer and Visiion Cable.

competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as
a whole, or any part thereof other than the part dedared to be invalid.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are to the
extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
Section 4. Notice of the proposed enactment of this ordinance has been properly
advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 166.041, Florida
Statutes.
Section 5. The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage.
