We did some more research today and found a handwritten note in one of our old cemetery binders. I've attached a copy of it (Hollins -Howell note.pdf). I did not find any copies of deeds in City of Clearwater records. When the City took ownership of the cemetery, (in the late 1940's or early 50's) and was selling spaces, it was up to the buyer to have the deed recorded with the County. However, many people did not. Per the handwritten note found in cemetery binders, J.T. Howell owned the North spaces (5 - 8 & 13 -16) and Dixie Hollins owned the South spaces (1 - 4 & 9 - 12). See attached table (Hollins.docx) I created which may be easier to read than the note. I indicated on the table where there are vacancies. You can contact Pinellas County to do a Public Records Request for a deed or any paperwork regarding the cemetery spaces. Please contact me with any questions. 41lianks! Karen B. It was nice talking with you today! I've attached the list of the current status of Block 3 / Lot 12. I'm out tomorrow, but will do some research Wednesday to see if we have any records on J.T. Howell. If not, you'll need to search for a recorded deed with Pinellas county.
