Roll Call
Present 4 - Chair Jared Leone, Board Member Glenna Wentworth, Board
Member Kelly Dobbin, and Board Member Michael Rubino
Absent 1 - Board Member Jason Drizd
Also Present—Cassie Cordova — Sustainability Division Manager and Danielle
DeBois — City Clerk Specialist
1. Call To Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes
2.1 Approve the minutes of the May 14, 2025 Environmental Advisory Board
meeting.
Board Member Wentworth moved to approve the May 14, 2025,
Environmental Advisory Board meeting minutes as submitted in
written summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.
3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda
William Johnson questioned priorities of the vulnerability assessment
raising concerns around other city infrastructures.
Brian Beckman shared solar Q2 installation and power efficiency statistics.
Tim Hughes said he spotted a manatee at Stevensons Creek and has since
become involved with the Stevensons Creek Advocacy Group.
4. New Business Items
4.1 Presentation from Public Works staff on flooding in North Clearwater Beach
Public Works Director Marcus Williamson and Public Works Engineering
Specialist 111 Sam Reilly presented a PowerPoint regarding the potential
mitigation a pump station for flooding would provide. Discussion ensued
regarding various flooding forecasts and pricing of mitigation strategies.
One individual said thank you for the leadership and impact of the board and
suggested the Board assist in development of education materials for
citizens.
One individual said it would be a reasonable consideration for the Board to
write a letter to Council to implement city wide signage for adopt-a-storm
drain and flooding areas. The board requested information on private lift
stations.

5. Director's Report
Meeting Minutes July 16, 2025
Sustainability Division Manager Cassie Cordova said the transfer station
solar is active and the gas complex will be complete in the next week. Ms.
Cordova gave an update on the status of various grants and
environmental public engagement efforts that will be enacted in the
following months.

Board discussion ensued regarding clean energy and budget adherence.
The Board thanked Jared Leone for his time serving as a volunteer and
his closing remarks.
