Roll Call
Present - Chair Donna Dennis, Board Member Kelly Malizia, Board Member
Loretta Mitchell, and Board Member Rosemarie Kibitlewski
Absent Board Member Kelly McLeay, Board Member Tanya Landry, and Board

1. Call To Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m.
2. Approval of Minutes
2.1 Approve the minutes of the May 1, 2025 Library Board meeting.
Board Member Malizia moved to approve the minutes of the May 1,
2025 Library Advisory Board meeting as submitted in written
summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda
Andrea Mendez expressed concerns regarding the reduced budget and
operating hours.
The board encouraged her to speak to Council.
4. New Business Items
4.1 Discuss Library Proposed Budget 25/26
Library Director Jen Obermaier said the City Council special budget meeting
was yesterday. Ms. Obermaier said there is a reduction of 7.5 full-time
equivalent employees, resulting in reduced library hours.
4.2 Board Duties
Ms. Obermaier reviewed the duties of the board and the sunshine law.
5. Director's Report
Ms. Obermaier said the library hours have officially been changed and she
does not have an update on future hotel construction and affected
parking. Updates were given on the summer reading program

completion, the pet supply program, and back to school assistance
programs.
6. Board Members to be Heard

Board Chair Donna Dennis said the consolidation of the Library Board
into a new board with the Environmental Advisory Board, and Parks and
Recreation Board was discussed yesterday moming. The board discussed
the composition of the new board and potential timeline for implementation.
The meeting was adjoumed at 11:15 a.m.
