Roll Call
Present 5 - Chair Donna Dennis, Board Member Kelly Malizia, Board Member
Loretta Mitchell, and Board Member Tanya Landry, Board Member

1. Call To Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m.
2. Approval of Minutes
Member Landry moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2025
Library Board meeting as submitted in written summation. The motion
was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda: None
4. Old Business Items
4.1 Beach Library Update
Library Director Jen Obermaier said the Beach Library and Recreation
Center that was damaged in hurricane Helene is anticipated to reopen in
March 2026. In response to questions, Ms. Obermaier clarified usage
limitations for the bookmobile bike.
5. Director's Report
5.1 Director's Report Items
Ms. Obermaier said the events the library hosted to date have been
successful and programs will continue as expected into summer, The
renovations in the Main Library are on schedule and the North Greenwood
branch renovations have been completed. Ms. Obermaier said the Main
Library hours would be impacted in May due to events at The Sound and
reviewed budget adjustments made within the department. Discussion
ensued surrounding budgetary changes.
