ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
30. Provide a copy of the SWFWMD permit application and calculations to
Environmental Management.
31. Show all protected trees by size, species and location.
32. Show total paved vehicular use area and total interior landscape areas expressed in
square feet and as a percentage of the overall site in the site plan data block.
33. Provide dimensions on the plan for perimeter landscape buffers.
34. Reflect the use of raised curbs or protective timbers on the site plan where interior
landscaped areas abut pavement.

ENGINEERING PLAN REVIEW

opening to the front for access by Solid Waste vehicles.

Dear Mr. Nicholson:
Provided below, please find responses to your letter related to the proposed Don Pablo's
Restaurant:
1. Q: Please provide excerpts from the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan concerning traffic
planning, goals and objectives as well as traffic counts along U.S. 19 and Nursery Road near the
intersection of the two. If traffic counts have been taken at our driveway entrance at U.S. 19,
these are also requested.
A: Please see excerpts from city's comprehensive plan attached.
2. Q: Please provide information about the current level of service for U.S. 19 and Nursery Road,
future projections for improvements in this area along with improvements necessary to achieve
the projections.
A: U.S. 19 (a.k.a. S.R. 55) is a state road and we are not aware of the State of Florida
Department of Transportation having plans for any improvements in this area aside from the
on-going resurfacing project. Again, please refer to attached excerpt from city's comprehensive
plan.
3. Q: Please provide us with information regarding traffic engineering capital improvement
projects in the present FY budget or 5-year capital improvement projects in the present FY
budget or 5-year CIP program intended to alleviate known problems in this stretch of U.S. 19
or Nursery Rd.
A: Please refer to attached excerpt from city's comprehensive plan.
4. Q: What is the City of Clearwater policy or ordinance provisions regarding site lighting and its
affects on adjoiners?

A: City Engineering Department requires all retention be kept on site. In the instance of Don
Pablo's Kitchen, any retention overflow will be directed to an existing drainage feature which
empties into Tampa Bay.
8. Q: What is the City of Clearwater policy or ordinance provisions regarding cumulative impacts
of ingress and egress traffic via an adjoiner's driveway?
A: Such issues are addressed on a case by case basis. For your information Don Pablo's has
agreed to provide right and left turn lanes with appropriate pavement markings.
