However, we recently reviewed an AT&T switching station proposal at Hercules and Grand, which was much more significant in size and potential activity. In fairness to all development types, I felt that it was time to reevaluate the situation and assess at least a minimal fee based on the "most nearly comparable type of land use" , as specified in the TIF Ordinance. This resulted in assessment of a rate of $240 / 1000 sq ft, the lowest rate in the fee schedule (miniwarehouse). In case you get any calls regarding this, AI Navaroli, Pinellas County Development Services, has indicated that he has assessed the general industrial rate of $1061 / 1000 sq ft, but acknowledged that perhaps I was more on target. The only sincere objection I've received was from Nextel representative Cheryl Spatig, who perhaps is considering "the principal of the thing", more than the justification. 1 'I ~ ~'-- i Lt: Kx '11) ~ tJ~ . . The DRC unanimously recommended approval of the proposal with the following conditions: 1. That a new utility access easement be provided to encompass all proposed amenities; and 2. That a signed lease agreement be provided, I concur with the findings of the Development Review Committee and, through this letter, approve your application for Flexible Standard development with the above conditions. Please be aware that the issuance of this Development Order does not relieve that applicant of the necessity to obtain any building permits that may be required. In order to facilitate the issuance of any permit or license affected by this approval, please bring a copy of this letter with you when applying for any permits or licenses which require this prior development approval.
