ThIS letter constItutes a Development Order pursuant to SectIOn 4-206 D 6 of the Commumty
Development Code. On January 21, 2003, the Commumty Development Board revIewed your
applIcatlOn for FleXible Development for the constructlOn of a commercial dock (10 feet long by
250 feet WIde floatmg dock for tranSient vessel moonng), With a reduction m the SIde (north)
setback from 221 67 feet to SIX feet, under the provlslOns of SectIOn 3-601 III aSSOCIation With the
Carlouel Yacht Club The Commumty Development Board (CDB) APPROVED the applIcatIon
WIth the followmg bases and condItIOns

I The proposal complies WIth the FleXIble Development cntena under the proVIsIons of
SectIon 3-601
2 The proposal is III compliance With other standards III the Code mc1udmg the general
applIcabIlIty cntena per SectIOn 3-913
3 The dock development IS compatIble WIth the surroundmg area
CondItIOns of Approval
1 That the NatIonal FIfe ProtectlOn ASSOcIatIOn (NFPA) 303 standards for "mannas and
boat yards" be met to the satisfactlOn of the FIfe Department for new and eXIstmg docks pnor
to the Issuance of bmldmg permits Plans prepared and sealed by a profeSSIOnal engmeer
must be submItted and approved by the CIty pnor to the Issuance of a bmldmg permIt for the
new dock,
2 That the floatmg dock be for the exclUSive use by members and guests ofthe Carlouel Yacht
Club, that boats moored be tranSIent and that there be no commercIal actIVItIes at the docks
(baIt sales, vendmg, etc ), and
3 That floatmg and dock-supported Slgnage be permanently mstalled contammg wordmg
warnmg boaters of the eXIstence of protected sea grasses and manatees III the VICinIty
