2. ALL ELEVATIONS ARE REFERENCED FROM NATIONAL GEODETIC
VERTICAL DATUM, 1929.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ALL UTILITY COMPANIES AT LEAST
48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTOR
SHALL "CALL SUNSHINE" 1-800-432-4770 A MINIMUM OF 2 DAYS
AND A MAXIMUM OF 5 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
4. ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES MUST BE INSTALLED BEFORE BASE
AND WEARING SURFACE ARE CONSTRUCTED. LOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES

1. Existing trees to be barricaded and saved are marked.
Barricades shall consist of 2"x4" upright lumber spaced no more
than 6 feet connected by 1" x 2" lumber rails. Barricades shall
be erected at the dripline of the tree to be saved when possible.

quantities shown on these plans, before pricing the work.
9, All planting shall be done in accordance with acceptable
Horticultural practices, This is to include proper planting
mix, plant bed and tree pit preparation, pruning, staking or
guying, wrapping, spraying, fertilization, planting and
adequate maintenance until acceptance by the owner.
10. The landscape contractor is responsible for fully
maintaining all planting (including but not limited to:
watering, spraying, mulching, fertilizing, etc.) or planting
areas and lawns until the work is accepted in total by the
landscape architect and the owner,
11. All plants shall be guaranteed for 90 days from final
inspection and acceptance. all trees shall be guaranteed an
additional 180 days.
12. All plants are subject to approval by the owner or owner's
representative, Prior to planting, all trees must be
approved by the owner or owner's representative.
13. All plants and planting areas must be completely mulched as
specified with three (3) inches of Cypress Mulch.
14. Standards set forth in "American Standards for Nursery
Stock" represent guideline specifications only and shall
constitute MINIMUM quality requirements for plant material,
15. All landscaped areas shall be provided with an irrigation
system that supplies 100 percent coverage to all required
landscaping plant material. The irrigation system may consist
of an automatic or manual underground system, drip system,
quick coupling valves, or hose bibs within 50 feet of all required
landscaping plant material,
16. The irrigation system shall be designed to minimIZe root
disturbance to existing trees and other vegetation to be retained.
No irrigation is required within these areas,
17. All proposed shrubs shall be of sufficient height so that
they are a minimum of 24" above the finished pavement
elevation of the parking area adjacent to the said shrub.
18. All trimming undertaking on a protected tree shall be pruned
in accordance with the National Arborist Association prunning
standards.
19. All tree roots existing within approved improvement areas and
originating from a protected tree shall be severed clean at the
limits of the preserved area. Pruning shall be done using a
"DOSKO" Root Pruner or approved equal,
20. During land alteration and construction activities, it shall
be unlawful to remove vegetation by grubbing or to place
soil deposits, debris, solvents, construction material,
machinery or other equipment of any kind within the dripline
of a tree to remain on the site unless otherwise approved.
21. All trees to remain must be protected by tree protection
barricades meeting the minimum standards shown on the
attached diagram. Protective barricades shall remain in place
until land alteration and construction activities are completed.
