Approval of Minutes 2.1 Approval of December 11, 2024, Marine Advisory Board Meeting Minutes Member Broom moved to approve the December 11, 2024 Marine Advisory Board Meeting minutes as submitted in written summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda: None. 4. New Business Items 4.1 Elect 2025 Chair and Vice Chair Member Grohman moved to elect Laughlin as the Chair. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Member Laughlin moved to elect Broom as the Vice Chair. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 5. Old Business Items 5.1 Beach Marina Commercial Tenant Outreach Group Update Mr. MacDonald said vendors are moved completely to the designated vendor area. 5.2 Beach Marina Reconstruction Project Update Engineer Robert Betrick said the reconstruction process is going well and bidding will be requested based off the design by Moffit. 5.3 Harbor Marina Repairs Update Mr. Betrick said the repairs are on schedule and the needed permitting has been received. Page 1 City of Clearwater Marine Advisory Board Meeting Minutes March 12, 2025 5.4 Anchor Limitation Area Update Mr. MacDonald said the limitation area has been established and local police are informing boaters of the new procedure. 5.5 Stevenson Creek Feasibility Study Update Mr. MacDonald said the study concluded a local manatee zone would be the most feasible route to establish a slow speed zone. A citizen associated with the Stevenson Creek Advocacy Group said the group is excited and ready to work with the city on gathering the needed citizen science data to assist in establishing the slow zone. 6. Director's Report Mr. MacDonald said repairs from previous hurricane season are progressing as expected. 7. Board Members to be Heard: None. 8.
