Subject: Funding Commitment for Hurricane Relief Assistance
Good day Paul,
We're pleased to provide this letter as financial commitment from the USTA Florida Section Foundation to
support your tennis facility's request for Hurricane Relief assistance. The USTA Florida Section,USTA National
and USTA Florida Section Foundation recognize the negative impacts natural disasters can have on the tennis
eco-system in Florida. We're pleased to provide this assistance as you work to rebuild tennis structures that
were damaged by recent Hurricanes.
The USTA Florida Section Foundation has voted to commit up to $46,508 towards the restoration of your
tennis facility impacted by Hurricanes. These committed funds are contingent upon the following terms and
conditions as a reimbursement process.
1. You will use our funds only for the submitted capital repairs and may not accept FEMA funding or an
insurance payment for these same damages. In short, you must discontinue further claims for
additional funds that could duplicate the support we are providing for your facility repairs noted in
your submission.
2. You will submit for our review paid invoices and/or receipts of completed work in alignment with the
approved scope of work up to the maximum you are awarded. Estimates/quotes are not acceptable.
3. Additional repair costs above the approved maximum award will be at your expense.
4. After all repair work is complete you must submit a report to our Board of Directors on the impact of
the completed repairs.
5. You will continue to provide existing public access tennis programs, and expand where possible,
following the funded repairs to your facility from this Foundation.
6. You agree to allow us to promote the impact of this support on our various marketing and promotion
messages.
7. You have a maximum of eight (8) months from the date of this letter to complete all the repairs or
provide us with a written request for an extension of time.
i
Our team will be in touch soon to schedule a meeting to review these items and all the next steps. Should
I
you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
The processing of funds will not occur until the above conditions have been completed to include
documentation to verify all the conditions have been met. Ideally,we would plan to release reimbursement
of expenses with receipts provided to you within the next three to six months or sooner. We can also work
with your vendors to process the payment directly to them for the above conditions to be completed.
However,we will not fund the project in advance of the conditions listed.
We are thrilled to support your efforts in restoring your facility to resume tennis programming for USTA
Florida players. Together,we can promote and develop tennis for all while changing lives through tennis.
Sincerely,
N#C, -dard
