Roll Call
Present - Chair Jared Leone, Board Member Kelly Dobbin, Board Member Michael
Rubino, Board Member Glenna Wentworth, and Board Member Jason Drizd
Also Present—Cassie Cordova — Sustainability Manager and Danielle DeBois — City

1. Call To Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:59 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes
Approve the minutes of the September 18, 2024 Environmental Advisory Board
meeting.
Member Rubino moved to approve the September 18, 2024
Environmental Advisory Board meeting as submitted in written
summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda
Citizen Brian Beckman said that solar installations have decreased
last quarter and asked how storm rebuilding efforts are accounting
for increasing infrastructure resiliency.
It was said that home hardening and storm water infrastructure
should be rebuilt in a way that can withstand expected weather
conditions and that a FEMA workshop would be an educational
opportunity to learn about material options for better
infrastructure.
4. New Business Items
Review Sustainability Division update
Sustainability and Environmental Manager Cassie Cordova presented
on the 2024 Greenpoint 2.0 progress.
It was said the city needs additional bike trails to account for pedestrian and
bicyclist traffic to expand on the safe options for travel.
An individual thanked the city for the improvements made over
the past year and congratulated Clearwater for its improvements and the
culture of care.
5. Old Business Items
Chair Jared Leone said the letters written by the Board to City Council are
ready to be shared in December and discussed board scheduling.
In response to a question Ms. Cordova said the Stevenson Creek study

was pushed back due to hurricanes. Ms. Cordova said the presentation to
council regarding artificial turf has also been pushed back to a later date. In
response to a comment, Ms. Cordova said the Environmental Advisory
Board meetings would be quarterly moving forward in 2025. Discussion
ensued regarding time usage and staff availability, highlighting strategies to
remain engaged in community and environmental issues while minimizing
involved staff hours.

Mr. Drizd 'thanked the board and staff for the years efforts and looks forward
to the year to come.
Mr. Rubino said he looks forwards to being more effective in 2025.
Mr. Leone thanked the Board for their time and emphasized the goal of
