Osceola Avenue Clearwater, FL 33755 e Meeting Minutes Wednesday, August 7, 2024 3:00 PM Main Library - Council Chambers Airpark Advisory Board 1 City of Clearwater Airpark Advisory Board Meeting Minutes August 7, 2024 Roll Call Present 3 - Chair Roger Schulman, Board Member John Renton, and Board Member Thomas Crockett Also Present — Michael MacDonald - Marine & Aviation Director, Bill Hodgson — Marine & Aviation Assistant Manager, Nicole Sprague — Deputy City Clerk, and Danielle DeBois — City Clerk Specialist 1. Call To Order The Chair Called the Meeting to Order at 3:00 p.m. 2. Approval of Minutes 2.1 Approval of February 7, 2024, Airpark Advisory Board Meeting Minutes Member Renton moved to approve the minutes of the February 7, 2024 Airpark Advisory Board meeting as submitted in written summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Member Renton commented that page two of the February 7,2024 minutes should say "Standard Operating Procedure"rather than "Standard of Procedure"as is written. 2.2 Approval of March 28, 2024, Airpark Advisory Board Special Meeting Minutes Member Renton moved to approve the minutes of the March 28, 2024 Airpark Advisory Board meeting as submitted in written summation. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda: None. 4. New Business Items 4.1 Fixed-Base Operator's (FIyUSA) Verbal Quarterly Update FIyUSA representative William Holtz said there was no damage during tropical storm Debbie and that improvements have been made at the airpark. Mr. Holtz said the airpark communicates with tenants via newsletters and monthly emails. In response to a suggestion, Marine and Aviation Director Michael MacDonald said the Airpark is looking into building a net to minimize the amount of golf balls entering the property. 4.2 Current Airpark Projects Updates Marine and Aviation Assistant Manager Bill Hodgson said that the geotech site work survey found no issues to report, the proposal for redesign of the airpark terminal and parking lot will be presented to city council at the 2 City of Clearwater Airpark Advisory Board Meeting Minutes August 7, 2024 September 3, 2024 work session. He said the FDOT grant will be received in July 2025 for the construction project. In response to a question, Mr. MacDonald said that there have been no applications for the available positions on the Airpark Advisory Board nor has there been updates on the potential of combining with the Marina Advisory Board. 5.
