The special meeting convened at 6:00 p.m. in the Parks and Recreation offices of the new Municipal Services building at 100 South Myrtle Avenue, for a van tour of the Clearwater Parks
and Recreation facilities listed below. To provide continuity, the items are listed in itinerary order although not necessarily viewed in that order.

Mr. Wilson conducted a drive-by tour with Ms. Dowd driving the Parks and Recreation Department van. Member Weaver and Mr. Kader followed in Mr. Weaver’s personal vehicle. The tour
gave members an overview of the location, function and special features available at each facility. Mr. Wilson and Ms. Dowd responded to questions regarding history and usage of the
pools, parks, and sports fields created and maintained by the City.
The tour paused for refreshments at Moccasin Lake Park from 7:35 to 7:45 p.m. Nature Park Supervisor Cliff Norris gave a presentation regarding environmental and energy education programs,
nature trails, wildlife, and interpretive center. He distributed brochures highlighting park operation and invited members to return with their families.
The tour concluded at the Municipal Services building at 8:55 p.m.
