The Ci�y Commi�sion met in Speci�l session at 12:00 noon
November 5, 191�6 in the City FIall with the following merabers present:

Smith; Absent - none.
IvIayor Seavy explained that the purpose oi' the meetinp,

the next Commission comes to office. It vras moved by �ir. Smith,
seconded by h:r, Crane and unanim�usly carri.ed that each Qommissioner
waiva tY�e necessity of any le�,al notice oi this meetin�.
It was moved by ;�r, Crane, seconded by Idtr. �'ohnson and
unanimously carried that C, Fred Taylor be app�inted City NIana�er in
addiiion to h9.,s present duties as Office P�iana�er af the Gas and Vlater �
Department.
It tiroas moverl by Nr. Johnsan, seconded by t��Lr, Crane and
carried that the salary of the City �Tanaoer be increased to x300.00
per month, while �e is CitJ Manager. -
It was maved by T�lr. Crane, seconded by ,�:r, �iells and
c�rxied that the P�;ayor be authorized to desi�nat� each Commissioner �
as Kdvisor to the City Iv�anager wit:. reference to the �peration of
specii'ic departments and funet��ns oi tne City

Mayor Seavy annovnced at this time the appointment of

h4ayor Seavy announced that he was giving up his du�iEs as
Chief of Police and t%at it was his observation that the Po3iee Department
could very well make use of' a docket c�erk and suggested that this matter
be givex� cansideration and study at the first opportunity. The hiayor also
stated that as Mayor he expected the Po7.ice Department to make iull enfox�e-
men,t of the law against Bolita.
There d�eing no fur�her business coms ba£ore the Board, the
