Sullivan — Board Reporter Awaiting approval A. CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. at the Main Library followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. B. ROLL CALL: C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: July 19, 2022 Member Haudricourt moved to approve the minutes of the July 19, 2022 Community Development Board meeting as submitted in written summation. The motion was duly seconded. Members Quattrocki, Flanery, Park, Caudell, Haudricourt, Rector, and Chair Lau voted "Aye"; Alternate Member Hutkin did not vote. Motion carried unanimously. D. The motion was duly seconded. Members Quattrocki, Flanery, Park, Caudell, Haudricourt, Rector, Acting Member Hutkin, and Chair Lau voted "Aye"; Member Park abstained. Motion carried unanimously. F. DIRECTOR'S ITEM: (Item 1) 1. Appointment of Board Member to the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee G. ADJOURN Assistant Economic Development & Housing Director Chuck Lane reviewed the responsibilities and membership requirements for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. He requested the Board recommend a member for City Council appointment. Member Flanery moved to recommend that Bruce Rector be appointed to the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee as the Community Development Board representative. The motion was duly seconded. Members Quattrocki, Flanery, Park, Caudell, Haudricourt, Rector, and Chair Lau voted "Aye"; Alternate Member Hutkin did not vote. Motion carried unanimously. It applies to members of advisory and non -advisory bodies who are presented with a voting conflict of interest under Section 112.3143, Florida Statutes. Your responsibilities under the law when faced with voting on a measure in which you have a conflict of interest will vary greatly depending on whether you hold an elective or appointive position. Commissioners of community redevelopment agencies (CRAs) under Sec. 163.356 or 163.357, F.S., and officers of independent special tax districts elected on a one -acre, one -vote basis are not prohibited from voting in that capacity. For purposes of this law, a "relative" includes only the officer's father, mother, son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law.
