1. Call To Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at the Main Library.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily
discussed in that order.
2. Approval of Minutes
2.1 Approve the March 8, 2022, NAHAB Meeting Minutes
Member Dicus-Harrison moved to approve the minutes of the March 8,
2022 Neighborhood & Affordable Housing Advisory Board meeting
as submitted in written summation. The motion was duly seconded
and carried unanimously.
3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda: None.
4. New Business Items
4.1 Applicants for Community Development Block Grant funding for Public Service programs,
Public Facility improvements and Economic Development programs will present to the
Neighborhood and Affordable Housing Advisory Board.
Economic Development & Housing Assistant Director Chuck Lane reviewed
the CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) timeline. This year's
grant amount is not yet known. The application is due to HUD (Department
of Housing & Urban Development) by August 16, 2022.
Applicants for CDBG funding for Public Service programs, Public Facility
improvements and Economic Development programs presented to the
Neighborhood and Affordable Housing Advisory Board: 1) Chelsea Wait for
Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc.; 2) Kathleen Russell for Pinellas Opportunity
Council, Inc.; 3) Lynne Tucker and Mike Smith for R'Club Child Care, Inc., 4)
Zachery White for Homeless Emergency Project, Inc. dba Homeless
Empowerment Program, 5) Ellen Stoffer for Tampa Bay Community
Development Corporation dba Suncoast Housing Connections, 6) Roger

The representatives and organizations were thanked for their efforts serving
Clearwater residents.
5. Old Business Items: None.
6. Director's Report
Mr. Lane said the amended Action Plan will be presented to the Board in the
next few months.
Mr. Lane said the Board will have an opportunity to discuss a concerned
citizen's letter at the next meeting.
