03/17/2022 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BOARD MEETING MINUTES CITY OF CLEARWATER March 17, 2022 Present: Chair Mary A. Sullivan — Board Reporter A. CALL TO ORDER, INVOCATION, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:02 p.m. at the Main Library followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. B. ROLL CALL: C. WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBERS: D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: February 15, 2022 Alternate Board Member Abdur-Rahim referenced Item E1 — Case FLD2020-03006, stating he had voted "Nay." Member Quattrocki moved to approve the minutes of the February 15, 2022 Community Development Board meeting as amended. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Alternate Member Abdur-Rahim did not vote. E. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD RE ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Bill Jonson said in 1998 the City hired Charlie Siemon to rewrite the Code and author Beach by Design. He said the Code was developed and implemented to create value for the property owner, neighbors and neighborhoods, and the City as a whole. He presented a snippet of Mr. Siemon's remarks from the 2004 Community Development Board training session. F. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Alternate Member Abdur-Rahim did not vote. G. DIRECTOR'S ITEMS 1. Election of Officers Member Park moved to reappoint Mary Lau as Chair. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Altemate Member Abdur-Rahim did not vote. Member Park moved to reappoint John Quattrocki as Vice Chair.
