Energy Program Coordinator  About the job  Close Date: 12/6/19    Working Title: Energy Program Coordinator    Location: 509 East Ave South, Clearwater, FL 33756    The Office of Asset Management (OAM) within Pinellas County Government provides support services to  County departments that operate, preserve, invest and optimize physical assets in a manner that aligns with  the Board of County Commissioners’ Strategic Plan in furtherance of our vision to be the Standard for Public  Service in America. The OAM is responsible for the coordination of asset management efforts across five ( 5)  operational departments within Pinellas County (Public Works, Solid Waste, Parks and Conservation  Resources, Utilities, Department of Administrative Services – Facilities and Real Property Division).    The OAM Energy Program Coordinator is a professional position with responsibilities to optimize the  consumption of energy through technical and/or procedures processes. The position acts as a subject matter  expert assisting in drafting energy management policy, establishing energy efficiency targets, utilizing  renewable energy resources and integrating industry‐based best management practices into facility  operations. The position is responsible to develop and implement strategies, track and analyze consumption  data, analyze lifecycle costs, report and present findings to management. The position will assist the County  Sustainability & Resiliency Coordinator in assessing, developing, and implementation of advanced energy  policies and innovative practices. The individual will organize and develop internal training programs for these  policies and practices. This individual will lead organizational change efforts for energy policies and practices,  including; changes to business processes, monetary investment, systems and technology or other areas  affected. This position will foster relationships with the business community and develop public‐private  partnerships in support of sustainability and energy objectives. Work is performed with considerable  independent judgment and initiative. The position reports to the OAM Department Director.    Position Specific Requirements    Experience ‐ progressively responsible experience managing, designing and implementing energy efficiency  programs.    Education ‐ degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or  Architecture, or a related field.  ∙       7 years of experience as described above; or  3
