Thank you for submitting information regardmg church attendance at the Northeast
Church of Christ The mformatton was slgruficant In deternunlng the number ofparkmg
spaces that will be adequate to serve the needs of the church
Based on the mfonnatlon that you subrrutted, It appears that your proposal complies with
the flexible standard parkmg criteria enumerated m the Community Development Code A
few mmor adjustments to the site plan will have to be made to ensure total compliance
with the Code
The parkmg space at the lower left side of the site plan and some of the asphalt drive are
located m the Junsdlctlonal weltand setback It may be ehmmated or moved to another
location on the property If you are to construct the parkmg lot as proposed, 12 of the 80
parkmg spaces must be paved Your plan only shows 9 paved parkmg spaces
The penmeter landscape buffers on the sides of the property must be twelve feet wide
The staff has some abiltty to approve reduced buffers provtded the landscaping Installed IS
superior to the required landscaping
As we mentioned In our meeting, the use of the flexible parkmg standard of less than 1
space per 2 seats will reqUire that the application be reviewed by the Development ReView
Committee and approved by the Planning Director ThIs IS a staff review and does not
reqUire a public heanng

The purpose of our proposed project is to build a new 200 seat
auditorium as a place of worShip for the members of our congregatlon
wlth attendant parking and other necessary facilities. 'The reason_fo~
this project is that we~- are about to outgrow the present meeting
,space. The existing structure, which is now being utilized as a
combination meeting place and classrooms, will then be converted to use
as classrooms with minor office and storage spaces.
The
day-care
mornings
follows:
Sunday 9:00 am - Bible classes for all ages.
Sunday 10:00 am - Worship services for all ages.
Sunday 6:00 pm - Worshlp services for all ages.
Wednesday 7:00 pm - Bible classes for all ages (45 minutes) with a
short worship service following.
Our minister maintains an office in the building and spends partlal
days there. The only other use of the building is for incidental
purposes such as meetings of the men of the congregation to discuss
business matters.
church does not operate and has no intention of operating any
or school other than Bible classes for all ages on sunday
and Wednesday evenings. Our schedule of serVlces is as
I have prepared and am enclosing three (3) copies of a tabulatlon
of attendance during the period July 1, 1998, to March 17, 1999. Since
no record has been kept of attendance on Wednesday evenings, I have
estimated Wednesday evening attendance at half of the Sunday morning
attendance. Other figures are actual.
