completlOn depth ofthe bormgs

GROUNDWATER CONDITIONS - Groundwater was recorded dUrIng the course of our
InvestIgatIOn at depths rangmg from 2.5 to 3 9 feet below present grade It should be recogmzed
that these water levels were recorded dunng a penod ofmmnnal ramfall at the begmmng of the
dry season Accordmgly, we would expect water levels to nse followmg a perIod of mare
pronounced ramfall In thiS regard, we would expect a normal seasonal hIgh groundwater level
to occur at a depth of about 12 mches below grade dunng the normal wet season
ConfirmatlOD of potentIal seasonal fluctuatIons would necessItate mstallatlOn of shallow
piezometers followed by momtormg dunng the next wet season
PRELIMINARY GEOTECHNICAL EVALUATION
DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT - It IS envIsioned that the resIdential development wIll probably
mclude one (1) to two (2) <.;tory resIdentIal structures Although developmental detaIls are
currently m the early stages, we would assume that the structures WIll be relatIvely bghtly loaded
probably supported by beanng walls WIth the potential for some lsolated column foundatIons
MaXImum wall loads will probably not exceed the range of3 to 4 kips per lIneal foot and column
loads wIll probably be less than 75 kIps
DetaIls relatIve to potentIal stte grades have yet to be developed At thIS stage, we have
assumed that structures will probably be supported generally above eXIstmg grade
GENERALIZED STRUCTURE FOUNDATION CONDITIONS - Our geotechmcal studIes
have Identlfied sub grade Salls that are generally sUitable for support of the antlclpated structures
on shallow foundatIOns WIth routme subgrade and fill preparatIOn As a mmm1Um, thIS wlll
mclude stnppmg of any surface vegetatIOn and orgamc topsOll followed by umfofm compactIOn
of the sub grade and fill sOlls WIth a vIbratory compactor so as to achIeve a umform densIty of not
less than 95% of the Modified Proctor maXImum dry denslty per ASTM D-1557
Although specIfic recommendations for subgrade preparatIOn and foundatIOn de:'lgn must
be based upon a careful assessment of antICIpated structural loads and deSIgn grades, we would

TEST PROCEDURE The test was conducted In general accordance with ASTM 0 3385-75 A seven (7") Inch
