A IT ACHMENT NO.1
The purpose of thIS applicatIOn is to request the Clty of Clearwater to approve proposed
changes to a single famIly residence located at 744 Bay nsplanade usmg the Flexible
Standard Development Application process.
This home was built m 1935 and mcludes a single car carport and a screen-m-porch; both
wIth finished ceilings (see Attachment 2 for pictures). This request is to enclose both the
carport and screened-in-porch areas to increase the current hvmg space. The proposed
changes will add an additIOnal bedroom/den and mcrease the area of the present living
room
In addition to enclosing the carport and porch, dnveway modificatIons and a
stoop/entryway are also requested in this application. To handle the reductIOn in parkmg
space from the lost of the carport it is proposed to add a CIrcular driveway that will more
that adequately provide fOT two car or better parking, Please note that this proposed
dnveway has no impact on any trees nor does It unpact existing landscapmg, only the
removal of grass and dirt, The old driveway Will be removed and re~landscaped with
grass and/or plants.
A finishing detaIl also proposed In this application IS a new stoop/entryway. This
stoop/entryway IS detailed in the attached architectural plans as provided by Architect
Barry P. UlImarm. It is proposed that the front door be placed in the center of the
screenedam-porch (propose livmg room) to give the house the necessary symmetry and
proportion. The old entryway steps will be removed and it is proposed that a new
stoop/entryway be added to give the enclosure and overall house design, mcluding the
circular driveway, the correct fonn and style to fit the neighborhood
