We are applYing for a vanance to our set back In order to extend our eXisting 6' high
pnvacy fence It IS our hope to Increase our children's play area by 6' for a distance of
approximately 16 6 feet Our children are ages 9, 6, 5, and 3 They spend a lot of time
outside on their "playground" We recently purchased and bUilt a playground kit, so that
they could have a safe recreation area Unfortunately, the positioning of the equipment
and the size of our yard reqUired us to place the slide directly at the gate We have Included
photos so you can see that we put our eqUipment as far back on our property as we could
The children have only 30" between the shde's end and the fence We are aware we could
put a 30" or 36" high fence extension, but this would JeopardIze the safety of our chIldren
because of the lack of pnvacy We also plan to use our added yard space for our PE cUrriculum
We are homeschoollng our four chIldren, and It IS Important to us to have plenty of space for
their exercIse and well being i
We have spoken to our neighbors and they are aware of our desire to extend the fence line
We have submitted a copy of a letter that they have signed In support of our desire
