10/26/1981Commissioner Garvey moved to declare the property surplus for a hospital facility with the clarification of details to be worked out and with the condition that there be no access to Landmark Drive. Commissioner Calderbank seconded the motion. Upon the vote being taken motion carried unanimously. Commission recessed from 6:15 to 6:25 p.m. The City Manager requested clarification of the motion. Commissioner Garvey stated the intent of the motion was to declare as surplus, the City property described briefly as the north 945 feet MOL of the west 1244 feet MOL of the NW4 of the SW? of Section 21-28-16, and to authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase -option agreement to the City of Clearwater Health Facilities Authority and that the appropriate officials be authorized to execute same. Commissioner Calderbank accepted the amended motion. Upon the vote being taken motion carried unanimously. IT #4 - First Reading of Ordinance #2517-81, relating to Purchase of the Glazer erty and Authorizing Issuance of the Fueling Site Note, Series 1981, not to ceed $40,000. The City Attorn presented the ordinance for first reading and stated he would read by title only unless there was a request to read in its entirety. The motion was read by title only. Commissioner Garvey moved to approve Ordinance #2517-81 on first reading. Commissioner Calderbank seconded the motion. Upon roll call the vote was: "Ayes": Garvey, Calderbank and LeCher. "Nays": None. Absent: Hatchett and Kelly. ITEM #5 - Meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m. and the Commission reconvened as the Community Redevelopment Agency. ITEM #1 - Discussion of Acceptance and Referral of the Downtown Redevelopment Plan. The City Manager reported the plan must be accepted by the Community Redevelopment Agency for referral to the appropriate reviewing authority. At a prior meeting, the City Commission had accepted the plan. Commissioner Garvey moved to accept the plan as amended and to forward for review to the Pinellas County Planning Council.
