The Meeting 'was _duly ez�llecl to mrder by h4ayor Seavy and the minutes
of the previous meeting were read and approved.
r,'Ir. Guss �7ilder• appeared before the Board xel�tive to building a
sea vaall on the VJest side of his property which is locatea on l�Tortti side of
Palm Street. Ii+Ir, l°JiTdex wished to extend the sea v�all along a part of the
end of Palm �treet and desired that the City �ive him the per.mission and
also agree te allova him to remove tra•t gart ot the wall that �vauld be built
across Palm Street in the event his tiitle to pari; oz the street just South of
his property and East of the proposed wall proved faul�; . ho action c�as tal,en
on the matter Uut ��Itayor Seavy told P,Ir: ti'lilder that his propostian would be
gone ove� by the City Comuission.
City PrIana�er I�iendrix ex�,�lained t� the Board that the Coal Oontract
would expire �ipril lst and recot�mended that Lhe present contr�ct �vitl� the
Elk fiorn Coal Sales Gorporation be ren.e�aea at � 2.75 pex net ton f. o. b.
mines i'ox� �the period Apri1 1, 194.2 to b7arch 31, 1943. L�oved by Jesse G. Smith,
seconded by D. C. Smith and carried that the recorumendation be approved.
Mr, Hendrix reported that the fuel oil that the City had been purchasing
fror� Gulf' Oil Corporation had been very satisfactory and recomraended that t�e
contract witia Gul�' Oil Corporation be renewed for a 1�2 month neriod be�innin�
�pril lst. TZoved by Jesse G. Snith, seconded b,y D. C. Smith and csrried that
the recammeridation of T+'ir. Fiendrix be aPproved. The quotation of thp Gulz �Jil
Coxporation was as follovys:
