I've filled out as much as I could, and have highlighted the sections you will need to complete. I'll also go page by page to make it as easy as possible. Page 1- This page is complete. if you choose to elect an agent or representative, you will need to complete that section. However, most residents do not do so for annexations. Page 2 - Please mark whether or not the property is a rental, and if there are any open permits within the County. These permits could be a remodel, roof, windows, etc. This page will also need to be signed and notarized by all parties on the deed. Pages 3 & 4 - These pages contain instructions on where to find the necessary information. Nothing needs to be done with these as staff will compile the needed info. Please keep them as part of the overall package as all seven pages are needed for the petition to be deemed complete. Page 5 - Please complete the highlighted sections. If you choose to elect an agent or representative, please complete that section. This page will need to be signed and notarized by all parties on the deed. Page 6 - This page can be left as is if you choose to not elect an agent or representative. Our annexation cycles start on the first business day of every month, and the deadline to submit the petition is by 12 noon of that first business day. Our next cycle will start on August 1. Staff recommends submitting in person so that we can ensure the petition is complete; however, you are able to submit via email or by USPS. The City does offer a free notary service, and our office is located at 100 South Myrtle Avenue, Suite 210. Our office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm, and on Wednesday from 8 am until 2:30pm. The annexation takes about three months to complete, but you will be able to conned to the City's sewer before the annexation is complete, provided all necessary fees are paid in full. The sewer impact fee is $900.00 and is set by ordinance. The assessment fee varies, typically based on the frontage length of your property.
