Goudeau City Clerk Sue Diana Assistant City Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. at City Hall for the purpose of canvassing the returns from the July 11, 2000 referendum election. ITEM #2 - Three certificates of testing presented to Commission for Acceptance The City Clerk presented three (3) certificates of testing of the automatic tabulating equipment dated as follows: July 06, 2000 – 9:04 a.m. July 11, 2000 – 6:39 p.m. July 11, 2000 – 9:45 p.m. Commissioner Clark moved to accept the three certificates of testing. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #3 - Absentee Ballot Report: Total Absentee Ballots received 3202 Questionable Ballots: 119 Included Ballots with: No Witness No Witness Address Signature Variation Empty Envelope Questionable Witness Total Absentee Ballots rejected as invalid 66 Total Absentee Ballots accepted 53 Total Absentee Ballots tabulated 3083 ITEM #4 - Total Precincts (50) and Absentee Ballot Tabulation: A. Referendum Questions: YES NO #1 Lease, Development and Use of Certain City-Owned Property in Downtown 9,589 13,125 #2 Pennies for Pinellas Bond for Main Library and Expansion for Library, Civic or Municipal Use 11,940 10,564 #3 Transfer of Municipal Real Property Designated Recreation/Open Space On the Land Use Map 12,591 10,154 Questions 2 and 3 were accepted by the voters. Question1 was rejected by the voters. Total Registered Voters 71,700 Total ballots cast 23,186 Percentage of Ballots Cast 32.34% ITEM #5 - Motion to accept City Clerk’s report and declare reported results official Commissioner Johnson moved to accept the City Clerk's report and declare the reported results official. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #6 - Motion to accept Referendum Questions No. 2 and 3 approved Commissioner Johnson moved to accept Referendum Questions No. 2 and 3 as approved. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #7 - Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 12:45 p.m.
