MOCCASIN LAKE NATURE PARK - USE LETTER (2) Moccasin Lake Nature Park—Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department 2750 Park Trail Lane Clearwater, FL 33759 (727)793-2976 This letter approves the use of Moccasin Lake Nature Park Classroom for your group, 7- C I n in aeffort to promote environmental and community-building IAI activities. In consideration for the use of the facility your group agrees to the following: 1. To comply with all City of Clearwater Ordinances and Moccasin Lake Nature Park policies and rules. 2. Meetings will be held the of each month between 3. An educational or community-building program will be presented at each onsite meeting. 4. The meetings will be open to the public and free of charge. Group membership is not required to attend the meetings. 5. A staff person will be present to assist with gate/room access and AV equipment during the meeting. 6. The group will stay within the classroom provided for the meeting and not enter the Park's trail system or exhibit areas, unless first agreed upon in writing by park staff. 7. The group will attend and represent itself at a minimum of two of Moccasin Lake Nature Park special events held at the park during the calendar year. 8. The group will provide no less than two cleanup days per calendar year, in which the group's mernbership will assist the Park's staff in sprucing the park, 9. The group will provide the park the special assistance in the designing, building, and maintaining of environmental exhibits at the request of the park staff. 10. No group or its members should make any alterations to any exhibit or garden without permission from park staff.This includes any changes to irrigation, electrical or building structures, 10. The group will provide no less than two environmental programs per calendar year above and beyond the programs presented during the monthly meetings. These programs may take place on other City Park Lands or building facilities,subject matter must be approved by the Nature Park Manager. 11. The group shall send by e-mail the total number of participants reached in any given month by the group, in either offsite or onsite programs by the 71h of the following month.The group shall also provide the total number of volunteer hours worked while representing the park, both on and offsite by the 71h of the following month.There will be a form sent out by e-mail for this purpose. 12.The Group's President or designee agrees to meet with the park staff as needed but no less than 2 times during the calendar year to ensure that both the City and the Group are fulfilling their obligations to this letter of understanding. 13. The group agrees that all press releases and media contact be approved by the City when concerning City issues, facilities,and parks.This includes public service announcement flyers where the City is mentioned and scheduled photo opportunities at City Parks and Facilities. This approval is good through December 31't,2019 at which time continued approval shall either be extended or terminated based upon the fulfillment of the above stated conditions.
