VEHICLE USE AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into. this 12TH day of JUNE ,2007 by and between THE SCHOOL
BOARD OF PINELLAS COUNTY, FLORIDA, hereinafter referred to. as the "School Board," and the City Of
Clearwater, a (municipal co.rparatio.n), hereinafter referred to as "User". The parties agree as fo.lIo.ws:
1. The Schaal Bo.ard will pro.vide shuttle bus transportatio.n far the mo.nth(s) o.f June 2007 - June 2008, far the
purpase af transpo.rting participants in User's sponso.red pro.grams.
2. TransPo.rtatio.n is far the sale purpose af transporting participants in User's spanso.red pro.grams to. and from
vario.us pragram lo.catians in Pinellas and adjacent caunties.
3. The bus ar buses will be o.perated by an emplo.yee o.f the School Board, who. is licensed to. drive a school bus,
and shall be assigned by the Directo.r o.f Transportatian or designee. Buses may be used under this agreement
anly if they are available at the times requested, and such use shall no.t interfere with ar impair regular school
transpartatian. The School Board shall be the final autharity as to. the availability o.f buses.
4. (a) User shall pay to. the School Board, far the use af said schaal bus service, a sum, per bus af $19.20 per
hour to. include 15 minutes befo.re and 15 minutes after trip charge; plus 1.00 per mile far weekday trips
that begin befo.re 4 p.m., with a minimum charge of fo.ur hours.
(b) If requests extend to. service that begins after 4 p.m., the expense will include a minimum charge af four
hours, and a sum per bus of $19.20 per ho.ur to include 30 minutes befo.re and 30 minutes after trip charge;
plus 1.00 per mile far the trips that begin after 4 p.m. weekdays, weekends, and any nan-school day.
(c) "Weekend" is defined as a Saturday and Sunday, except during the time that the Schaal Board is an its
summer calendar schedule, Friday will be considered part afthe "weekend." "No.n-schoo.l" day is defined
as a weekday wherein students are no.t scheduled to attend classes.
5. User shall pro.vide to. School Bo.ard a letter certifying that it is self-insured.
6. This agreement is made pursuant to. sectian 1006.261, Flo.rida Statutes, and the parties agree that they will
camply with the pravisians therewith.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agreement at Largo., Pinellas Co.unty, Flarida, the
date first above written.
