EXTENSION OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AGREEMENTEXTENSION OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AGREEMENT
THIS EXTENSION OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AGREEMENT ("Extension") is
made this 6, day of - -2017, by and between the CITY OF CLEARWATER,
("Contractor") and the PINELLAS OUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ("County").
1. Contractor currently contracts with County to provide fire protection and suppression
services to the District(s) as defined in and pursuant to that certain 2014 Fire
Protection Services Agreement between the Contractor and County dated
November 5, 2014 (the "Agreement").
2. The Agreement will, pursuant to its terms, expire September 30, 2017, but includes
an option for the parties to extend for one (1) additional two (2) year term.
3. Notwithstanding the requirement of Section 801 of the Agreement that such
extension be completed prior to July 1, 2017, Contractor and County wish to extend
the agreement for two (2) years with a new expiration of September 30, 2019, and
otherwise agree to waive the July 1, 2017 date requirement.
4. Contractor and County agree that, except as provided herein, upon approval of this
Extension, all terms of the Agreement will remain in force and effect as if the original
term of the contract extended to September 30, 2019.
NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy of
which is hereby acknowledged, Contractor and County hereby agree to extend the term of
the Agreement for one (1) two (2) year term, to September 30, 2019 on the terms and
conditions stated above.
