AGREEMENT FOR CONDUCTING MARCH 13. 2007 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City/Town of -.fJ~~ ("City/Town") has requested the assistance of
the Office of the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections ("Supervisor") in conducting its March 13,2007
election and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor is agreeable to providing such assistance to the City/Town at no
charge to the City/Town, subject to the following conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE CITY/TOWN AND THE
SUPERVISOR AS FOLLOWS:
GENERAL PROVISIONS
The Supervisor shall conduct the March 13,2007 Municipal Election of the City/Town (the "Election"). It
shall be conducted under all applicable ordinances of the City/Town and all sections of Chapters 97-106,
Florida Statutes (the State Election Code). The County Canvassing Board shall be in charge of the
election procedure and canvassing of the Election. Any decisions regarding election recounts of the vote
shall be made by the County Canvassing Board in accordance with the provisions ofthe State Election
Code, where applicable, and Administrative Rule
It is understood that the provisions of this contract are based on current state law and if any
changes in election law should occur during the period of this agreement, those changes will supersede
the terms of this contract where applicable.
The City/Town will provide the Supervisor with a detailed map of the current boundaries and a complete
address list.

BALLOT LAYOUT/PRINTING (Wavne Fusco: 464-6108):
The Supervisor is responsible for creating the ballot.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS (Michael Howes: 464-6788):
Absentee ballots will be mailed as soon as possible. Legal deadline to mail absentee ballots to
overseas voters is February 6, which is 35 days prior to election.
SAMPLE BALLOT (Wavne Fusco: 464-6108)
The Supervisor will create the Sample Ballot and publish it in a newspaper of general circulation.
ADVERTISING (Deborah Clark 464-6108):
The City/Town is responsible for all legal notices required by Florida Statutes and any notices
required in its charter or ordinances. The City/Town is responsible for providing notice of the
referendum election in a newspaper of general circulation at least twice, once in the fifth week
and once in the third week prior to the week the election is to be held (100.342, Florida Statutes).
POLLING PLACES (Julie Marcus 464-6110)
Polling Places will be selected and contracted by the Supervisor.
POLLING PLACE CHANGE NOTICES (Julie Marcus 464-6110):
The Supervisor will mail any necessary polling place change notices, one per household and
publish the list in a newspaper of general circulation.

The Canvassing Board will certify test results of the ballot counting equipment and The
Supervisor will file the election parameters with the Division of Elections. The Canvassing Board

EARLY VOTING:
Early Voting is February 26.2007, through March 10.2007. 15 days prior to the election. A list
of locations and voting times is attached. (addendum 1)
POLL WORKERS (Julie Marcus 464-6110):
The Supervisor will select, train and pay all poll workers for this election.
VOTING MACHINES (Ron Alberssen 464-6109):
The Supervisor will contract with a moving company to transport the voting machines to and from
polling locations.
ELECTION SUPPLIES (Ron Alberssen 464-6109):
The Supervisor is responsible for any 16ss or damage to election supplies while at the polling
locations.
POLL WATCHERS (Martin Munro 464-6108):
Poll Watcher designations must be submitted to the Supervisor. The deadline to submit poll
watcher designations for early voting sites is February 12.2007. The deadline to submit poll
watcher designations for polling places on election day is PRIOR TO NOON February 27. 2007.
CANVASSING ABSENTEE BALLOTS:
The County Canvassing Board will canvass the absentee ballots.

PROVISIONAL BALLOTS:
The Supervisor will research each provisional ballot to determine the voter's eligibility and will
present the provisional ballots to the County Canvassing Board for decision.
ELECTION NIGHT RESULTS:
Results will be released throughout the night and posted to the Supervisor of Elections' website
(www.votepinellas.com). The Supervisor will provide unofficial results election night.
AFTER ELECTION:
Provisional ballots will be canvassed and, if accepted by the County Canvassing Board,
will be processed and added to the election night results to produce Official Final Results.
Precinct and absentee results will then be provided as soon as possible.
DATA PROCESSING ORDERS (John Buckmaster 464-4958):
CitylTown place orders directly with the Data Center staff.
ELECTION COSTS (Tiffinv LaCour 464-6108):
There will be no charges from the Supervisor of Elections for conducting this election.
