Cretekos, Trustee Doreen Caudell, Trustee Bob Cundiff, Trustee Hoyt Hamilton, and Trustee Bill Jonson Also Present—William B. Horne — City Manager, Jill Silverboard — Deputy City Manager, Pamela K. Akin — City Attorney, Rosemarie Call — City Clerk, Seth Taylor - CRA Executive Director, and Nicole Sprague — Official Records and Legislative Services Coordinator To provide continuity for research, items are listed in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. 1. Call To Order— Chair Cretekos The meeting was called to order at 1:11 p.m. at City Hall. 2. Approval of Minutes 2.1 Approve the minutes of the January 17, 2017 CRA Meeting as submitted in written summation by the City Clerk. Trustee Jonson moved to approve the minutes of the January 17, 2017 CRA Meeting as submitted in written summation by the City Clerk. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 3. Citizens to be Heard Regarding Items Not on the Agenda — None. 4. New Business Items 4.1 Approve a contract with Sparxoo (Tampa, FL) in the amount of$65,000 for digital marketing and website design services, and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same. The Community Redevelopment Agency is leading the development of a new website www.DowntownClearwater.com that will promote Downtown Clearwater as an attractive place to live, work, explore and invest. A selection committee comprised of Seth Taylor (Community Redevelopment Agency), Linda Rothstein (Library), Joelle Castelli (Public Communications), Nicholas Lawn (Economic Development), and Dan Mayer (Information Technology) reviewed 24 proposals from RFP 54-16; of the 24 proposals, 3 firms were Page 2 City of Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency 5. The website will be instrumental in promoting and marketing Downtown Clearwater businesses and events; and will serve as a valuable resource for investors to access current and past planning documents, data and reports related to Downtown Clearwater. The scope of work to be performed by Sparxoo will include: brand identity (creation of a new downtown logo); and website design and development. Staff anticipates a summer 2017 website launch. APPROPRIATION CODE AND AMOUNT: Funds are available in cost code 388- 94853Downtown Marketing and Branding, to fund this contract. In response to a question, the City Attorney said the address listed will be corrected before the document is executed. Trustee Caudell moved to approve a contract with Sparxoo (Tampa, FL) in the amount of $65,000 for digital marketing and website design services, and authorize the appropriate officials to execute same.
