AGREEMENT TO CONSTRUCT A MUNICIPAL BASEBALL PARKA G R E E M E N T
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this C9 day of
March, A.D.,1950 by and between THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
a Municipal Corporation, hereinafter called the "City ", and the
PHILADELPHIA NATIONAL TRAGUE BASEBALL CLUB, hereinafter called
the "Club".
WITNESSETH that for and in consideration of the sum of
One Dollar ($1.00) paid by each y to the other, and the faith-
ful performance of the covenai ein contained, the parties mu-
tually contract and agree as follows:
1. It is agreed that City has constructed at the
Municipal Baseball Park thirty (30) additional box seats having
accomodations for one hundred seventy -eight (178) chairs, said
construction being now in use, and being satisfactory to the Club.
2. It is further agreed that said box seats are and
shall be the property of City which has paid the cost of their con-
struction.
3. It is agreed that said box seats are being used and
shall be used by the Club in conjunction with its use of the other
facilities at the Municipal Baseball Park, as provided for in the
agreement between City and the Club, dated March 4, 1947.
Club agrees to repay City for the actual cost of
said construction, not to exceed the total amount of $1,500.00,
as follows:
By the payment id indebtedness of ten per
cent (10 %) of i oss gate receipts from
spring training games played at said Municipal
Baseball Park during the 1950 season, and during
subsequent seasons thereafter, until the total .
amount paid shall equal the amount of the indebted-
ness above set out. Said payment shall be made
on April 1, 1950, and subsequently on the 1st. day
of each month thereafter during which games shall
have been played.
5. It is further agreed that City shall furnish the
Club with a certificate indicating the actual cost of said construc-
tion as soon as the same is determined, and in any event not later
than April 1, 1950.

6. This agreement shall be binding upon the respective
successors and assigns of the parties.
IT WITNESS WHEREOF the parties hereto stet their hands
and seals the day and year first set out above.
