I have included the original comment and response below. All revisions to drawings
submitted have been clouded on the revised drawing sheet and numbered with a brief
description of the revision on the cover page.
Permit Review Comments (Building);
Comment: Every landing shall have a minimum dimension of 36" measured in the
direction of travel
Response: Landings have been provided at the top and bottom of the stairway per
R311.5.4. The stairway includes two (2) winder type treads. The egress path of travel
at the stairway is continuous at 3'-3" in width (measured as radius at winder treads).
The two larger winder type treads are not designed as landings as they are not at the
top or bottom of the stairway but midway along the path of the stairway and are in
compliance with the requirements for winder type treads per R311.5.3.2.
Comment: Indicate on section 2 layers of felt or felt and housewrap under stucco over
wood frame construction to create bond break
Response: 2-story wall section revised (SheetD6) to indicate housewrap and paper
