In order to provide continuity for research, the items will be listed in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order.
The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 3:00 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room in City Hall. He outlined the procedures and advised any aggrieved party may appeal a final
administrative order of the Municipal Code Enforcement Board to the Circuit Court of Pinellas County. Any such appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days of the execution of the order
to be appealed. He noted that Florida Statute 286.0105 requires any party appealing a decision of this Board to have a record of the proceedings to support such an appeal.

In memos dated July 7, 1995, staff requested to continue Cases 21-95 and 22-95 to August 9, 1995. It was indicated the respondents intend to comply and have requested additional time.
Member Rogers moved to continue Cases 21-95 and 22-95 to the meeting of August 9, 1995. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
Case 23-95 Loraine Javer

In a memo dated July 12, 1995, Housing Inspector William Wright stated Mrs. Javer has requested a continuance of Case 23-95. Staff did not object to the continuance, stating some effort
is being made to bring the buildings into compliance. He requested the case be heard at the meeting of July 26, 1995.
Member Rogers moved to continue Case 23-95 to the meeting of July 26, 1995. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.

In a memo dated July 12, 1995, Code Inspector Janice King withdrew Case 26-95, stating compliance efforts are underway.

Case 41-92 - Request to Address Board Regarding Fine

In a letter dated June 21, 1995, Mr. Passias requested to address the Board regarding the fine.
Ms. Diana read an excerpt of the 1992 minutes pertaining to the case. It was indicated the accrued fine is $102,000 for 1020 days of violation. The affidavit of compliance, dated May
25, 1995, was accepted by the Board at the meeting of June 14, 1995. It was not known why compliance was delayed.
Discussion ensued regarding the fine reduction. It was felt reasons for delayed compliance should accompany requests to address the Board regarding reduction of fines. Attorney Salzman
stated, if the Board approves the request, the inspector familiar with the case will be requested to attend.
Member Henegar moved to approve the request to address the Board regarding the fine in Case 41-92. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
Attorney Rob Surette introduced himself to the Board, indicating he has been temporarily assigned to represent the City at the meetings.
MINUTES - June 14, 1995
Member Henegar moved to approve the minutes of June 14, 1995, in accordance with copies submitted to each board member in writing. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
