AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
SHERWOOD STREET AND LYNN AVENUE, WHOSE POST
OFFICE ADDRESS IS 1635 SHERWOOD STREET,
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA 33755, TOGETHER WITH ALL
ABUTTING RIGHT -OF -WAY OF LYNN AVENUE, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner of the real property described herein and depicted on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit A has petitioned the City of Clearwater to annex the
property into the City pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, and the City has
complied with all applicable requirements of Florida law in connection with this ordinance;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following- described property is hereby annexed into the City of
Clearwater and the boundary lines of the City are redefined accordingly:
Lot 1, Block 21 of Highland Pines Subdivision Fourth Addition, according to the
map or plat thereof, as recorded in the Plat Book 33, Page 90, of the Public Records of
Pinellas County, Florida; Together with all Right -of -Way of Lynn Avenue abutting Lots 1, 2,
and 3, Block 21 of Highland Pines Subdivision Fourth Addition.

The map attached as Exhibit A is hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are found and determined to be
consistent with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan. The City Council hereby
accepts the dedication of all easements, parks, rights -of -way and other dedications to the
public, which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the annexed
property. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning and Development Director
are directed to include and show the property described herein upon the official maps and
records of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. The City
Clerk shall file certified copies of this ordinance, including the map attached hereto, with
the Clerk of the Circuit Court and with the County Administrator of Pinellas County, Florida,
within 7 days after adoption, and shall file a certified copy with the Florida Department of
State within 30 days after adoption.
