RESOLUTION N0. 92 -43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
DESIGNATING AREAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MAJOR PUBLIC
WORKS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS OR BY MAJOR STORMS WHEREIN
TEMPORARY SIGNS MAY BE ERECTED; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.

City of Clearwater are adversely affecting businesses in their vicinity by
obscuring their visibility and convenient access; and
WHEREAS, the erection of temporary signs would assist such businesses by
improving their visibility and by serving as reminders that the businesses are,
in fact, still open despite the s been and
WHEREAS, Subsection (g) added to Section 134.011 of the City sign
regulations to allow for temporary signs to be erected in the event of a major
public works project or a major storm event; and
WHEREAS, Section 134.011 requires the property upon which the sign is to
be erected to be designated by a resolution of the city commission; now,
WHEREAS,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following areas are designated as areas adversely affected
by a major public works construction project wherein temporary signs may be
erected in accordance with Section 134.011, Code of Ordinances:
Properties adjoining U.S. Highway 19 at the State Road
580 intersection, south of Republic Drive and north of
Enterprise Road; or
Properties adjoining State Road 60 (Gulf to Bay
Boulevard) east f a
,600 feet east of Bayshore Boulevard
line located
Secs 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
