92-18 (2)RESOLUTION NO. 92 -18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN GREENWOOD PARK SUBDIVISION NO. 2, HAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 1105 ENGMAN STREET, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,950.00 FOR THE COSTS OF DEMOLITION INCURRED IN REMOVING A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE, WITH THE CONSENT OF OWNER. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 138 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein and the buildings situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not properly comply with the requirements of said Code, and found that an emergency existed which, in his opinion, involved imminent danger to human life and health, and ordered the demolition of the building; and WHEREAS, the owner of the property signed a Waiver of Notice and Hearing, requesting the City of Clearwater to demolish such structure and for the City of Clearwater to file a lien against the property for the cost of demolition; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has caused the demolition of the building, and the cost of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the demolition of the building situated on the following described property: Lot 31, Block E, Greenwood Park Subdivision No. 2, according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 8, Page 16, of the public records of Pinellas County, Florida (also known as 603 - 603 1/2 North Garden Avenue, Clearwater, Florida). Owner of record: Marie Collins 133 Engman Street Clearwater, Florida 34615 and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, the City Commission does hereby assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary costs incurred as follows: Demolition Cost $1,950.00 S-Q -/$ W _eon As soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against Said the property for the amount of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior i�el ayablelto the City in not exceeding ten (10) certificate, when issued, s P percent equal annual installments with interest at a rate not greater than eight p (8%) per annum. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien Se in the amount of the assessment against said property, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
