Airpark Advisory 2015-08-05 1
Discussion ensued regarding EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) use of the Tampa Bay
Veterans Alliance or CAP (Civil Air Patrol) facility for meetings. It was noted that many
businesses supported development of the CAP facility and Airpark tenants donate hangar space
for CAP activities. It was stated the Veterans Alliance was very responsive and offered use of its
space, which lacked restrooms. It was stated the CAP also should provide space for EAA
meetings. Mr. Wills thought the CAP would be cooperative.
Mr. Wills said the small plastic building next to the Airpark's fuel tanks was set afire recently by
a nearby lightning strike. City and St. Petersburg /Clearwater Airport firefighters responded.
