Goudeau City Clerk Patricia O. Sullivan Board Reporter The Clearwater Neighborhood Leaders Forum was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Harborview Center. The City Manager said the meeting was designed to bring together neighborhood leaders, the City Commission, and City staff. Neighborhood leaders addressed the City Commission representing Clearview Lake, the Clearwater Beach Association, Clearwater beach, the Mexican Council of Tampa Bay, Country Club Addition, Country Club Estates, Countryside, Drew and Plaza Park, Historic Bayview, Morningside and the Meadows, North Greenwood, the North Greenwood Association, Pierce 100 Condominiums, South Clearwater Citizens for Progressive Action, Skycrest, Tropic Hills, Northwood Estates, Chelsea Woods, Harbor Oaks, and Old Clearwater Bay. Issues of concern included landscape restoration following road construction, sidewalk and street maintenance, speeding, security, leadership training, code enforcement, Hispanic community needs, need for additional soccer fields, rental property conditions, tree planting, future development, traffic calming, Phillies Stadium, medians, adopt a street programs, recreation facility hours, bicycle paths, deed restriction enforcement, road beautification, neighborhood priority, safety, drinking water, Neighborhood Conservation Overlay District process, street flooding, new Memorial Causeway Bridge, traffic problems, air and noise pollution, neighborhood police programs, effect of growth on City services, cuts to recreation programs, inadequate lighting in Ed Wright Park, improving neighborhood interaction, replacement of Venus Lake Park, permitting process, setback enforcement, visioning needs, development of job opportunities and image improvement, social services support, drainage, North Ft. Harrison redevelopment, Stevenson’s Creek, zoning, downtown development, right-of-way maintenance, and problems related to homeless persons, The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m
