ITEM # 1 - Review Minutes of December 15th. 2004. January 19. 2005 & February 16. 2005
The above minutes will be reviewed at the next EAB Meeting.

ITEM # 3 - Commission Liaison

ITEM # 4 - Public Works Environmental Projects
Member McSwine stated that she had spoken to Elliot Shoberg and reported on :
i. Glen Oaks Project
Mr. AI Carrier stated that other projects are now being pushed back and bringing money
forward for the Glen Oaks Project.
ii.
Estuary Project
Core of Engineers are still planning to do something in July.
Mr. AI Carrier stated that Corp of Engineers tried to get permits from DEP which was
difficult, but now can getpermitting-throughSWlFWMD.

. ITEM # 5 - Portable and Reclaimed Water
Member Andy Neff introduced Mr. Louis Badami - Public Utilities Water Superintendent who
gave an update on the water bacterial issues.
Mr Louis Badami reported that it was finally concluded by the technical advisory group study that
they were not able to identify any single source of bacteria that entered the water system. They have
made several changes in sample collection and sample analysis process. fVlr. Louis Badami also
added that Public Utilities would like to thank Member Mike Flanery and staff to have guided and
helped through this process.
Member Andy Neff also gave brief updates on Portable Recalimed Water:
. Drew & Union - still working with the school board, require property rights and now is
acquiring with the County.
. Seville & Sunset Drive - The Project Bid was awarded. There are still some discussions with
the DOT on crossing 19.
. Del Oro - Project will be at 100% designed by the end of the month and is moving forward.
ITEM # 6 - Community Development
Member Carlough stated that she meets with the advisory group in downtown Clearwater every other
Tuesday morning. One of the issues still under discussion was about the Artist District that will be
created in conjunction with the closing down of Cleveland Street.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
ITEM # 7 - Sand Dunes & Sea Oats
Mr. AI Carrier showed pictures and the aerials of the Sand Dunes to the Board. The Board stated that
from looking at the pictures the sand dunes have increased in size over time and no action is needed
at this time.
ITEM # 8 - Future Of The Environmental Advisory Board
Mr. AI Carrier stated that he had spoken to Cindy Goudeau few months back, and was told that the
Council will be addressing the Board issues again.
Chair Jamieson stated that it was important if we continue to function as an advisory board, to look
seriously into matters that concern the environment and bring issues to the attention of the Council.
Chair Jamieson also inquired if it was possible to combine some of the boards that had similar
objectives together with the Environmental Advisory Board.
ITEM # 9 - April 2005 Elections
Jamieson suggested that Member Mike Flanery to call Ms. Denise Wilson and set up a time to talk
with Council Member Mr. Bill Jonson. The Board would like to know what his position is on the
board and also if Council Member Mr. Bill Jonson could come for the next EAB meeting.

ITEM # 10 - Moccasin Lake Nature Park
. The Board suggested if Mr. Kevin Dunbar, Parks & Recreation Director could come for the next
EAB meeting and would like to discuss on:
. The future of Moccasin Lake Nature Park.
. What the City will do as this concerns to Environment. ?
. . Why do we have the Moccasin Lake Nature Park ?
. What is the park for?
. If the park is worth saving, treat it seriously.
