The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not
necessarily discussed in that order.
2 - Approval of Minutes: October 12, 2006
Member Petersen moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of October 12,
2006, as submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly
seconded and carried unanimously.
3 - Emplovees to be Heard - None.
4 - Action Items:
a. Review and Action on Employee Requests for Regular Pensions:
1. Ross H. Smith, Jr., Police
2. Richard F. Novo-Mesky, Engineering
Member Hamilton moved to approve the requests for regular pensions for Ross H.
Smith, Jr. and Richard F. Novo-Mesky. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.

Brenda Curry originally was hired a part-time on May 15, 2006; transferred to full-time
and pension eligible as of September 18, 2006. Valerie Smutko originally was hired as
temporary on June 16, 2003; promoted and pension eligible as of October 2, 2006. Myra Mingo
originally was hired as part-time on August 19, 2006; transferred to full-time and pension eligible
as of October 16, 2006.
The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
5 - Pendinq/New Business
Human Resources Director Joe Roseto distributed packets of material related to Vince
Kirkland's disability request. A hearing will be scheduled following receipt of IME (Independent
Medical Exam) results.
Mr. Roseto offered best wishes to Member Hamilton and thanked him for his service on
the PAC (Pension Advisory Committee).
Mr. Roseto reported the PAC will discuss the Pension Plan attorney's rewrite ofthe
Pension Plan Ordinance early next year. Issues are not time sensitive and will not be
scheduled for referendum before April 2007.

Member Petersen wished all a Happy Thanksgiving
Members wished Member Hamilton well and thanked him for his efforts.
Member Hamilton said he had enjoyed everyone's professionalism and hoped to return
some day to participate further.
