The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not
necessarily discussed in that order.
2 - Approval of Minutes of June 9. 2005
Member Petersen moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 9,
2005, as submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly
seconded and carried unanimously.

4 - Action Items:
a. Review and Action on Employee Requests for Regular Pensions:
1. Marie Orsello, Economic Development
2. Lowell Nickerson, Fire
3. James Fogarty, Fire
Member Jensen moved to approve the requests for regular pensions for Marie Orsello,
Lowell Nickerson, and James Fogarty. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.
b. Approval of New Hires as Plan Members:
As of June 29, 2005, the City had 1823.01 of 1899.2 budgeted positions.
Eddie Stephens was hired as part-time on June 2, 2003; status changed to full-time and
pension eligible as of May 2, 2005.
Tina Cramer originally was hired as part-time on June 7, 2004; status changed to full-
time and pension eligible as of May 28, 2005.

Jeffrey Howard originally was hired as temporary on March 7, 2005; status changed to
permanent and pension eligible as of May 2, 2005.
Lisa Hayes originally was hired as part-time on December 13, 2004; status changed to
permanent and pension eligible as of June 13, 2005.

The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
5 - Pendina/New Business:
a. Virginia/David Ford Hearing
Human Resources Director Joe Roseto reported the applicant's attorney had requested
a continuance and recommended that the hearing be continued.
Member Doran moved to continue the Virginia/David Ford hearing and tentatively
schedule it for August 11, 2005. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
6 - Director's Reports
Mr. Roseto reviewed pending disability cases.
Consensus was to schedule hearings on three disability cases for August 11, 2005.
Mr. Roseto congratulated Committee Members Jensen and Schmalzbauer on their re-
elections.
