7 - Director's Report
Cash & Investments Manager Steve Moskun said during implementation of the changes
that the Trustees directed with the adoption of the Asset Allocation Study, it became apparent
that the investments listed in thE: allowable investments bore a striking resemblance to that of
State Statute.
The Pension Attorney has recommended rather than adopting its own lists of allowable
investments, that the Trustees and voters use the investments that are allowed by State Statute.
The Trustees can restrict the investments with the Investment Policy. He referred to a
sample of how the investments could be restricted via the Investment Policy, a copy of State
Statues and proposed ordinance to go to the City Council and voters.
.
In response to a question, Mr. Moskun said these changes are applicable to the
Employees' General Pension Plan, which includes firefighters and Police.
