The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall.
To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not
necessarily discussed in that order.
3 - Selection of Vice-Chair
Consensus was to continue the selection of Vice-Chair until September 9, 2004.
3 - Approval of Minutes
Member Hibbard moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of July 15, 2004,
as submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly seconded and
carried unanimously.
4 - Emplovees to be Heard - None.
5 - Action Items
a) Review and Action on Employee Requests for Years of Service Pension:
1. Douglas L. Griffith - Police Department
2. Mathew J. Gunther - Public Uti lites
Member Hibbard moved to approve Years of Service Pensions for Douglas L. Griffith
and Mathew J. Gunther. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.

b) Review and Action on Employee Request to Vest Pension:
1. Elaine Larimer - Public Utilities
Elaine Larimer, Public Utilities, has resigned her position after being employed by the
City for more than 24 years. She will qualify to receive her reduced pension beginning
November 1, 2004.
2. Diana L. Atkinson - Police Department
Diana L. Atkinson, Police Department, has resigned her position after being employed
by the City for more than 13 years. She will qualify to receive her reduced pension beginning
June 1, 2011.
Member Petersen moved to recommend approval of the request by Elaine Larimer and
Diana L. Atkinson to vest their pensions. The motion was duly seconded and carried
unanimously.
c) Approval of New Hires as Plan Members:
As of July 28, 2004, the City had 1790.14 FTEs out of 1895.4 budgeted positions.
Member Hibbard moved to accept the following employees into membership in the
Pension Plan:

6 - Pendinq/New Business
a) Reschedule November PAC meeting
Human Resources Director Joe Roseto reported the PAC needs to reschedule its
November meeting, as the regularly scheduled meeting day is on Veterans Day, a holiday.
Consensus was to schedule the November PAC meeting at 9:00 a.m., on Thursday,
November 4, 2004.

Several disability cases remain pending.
