Presentation of Vision Statement
March 28, 1997

City Manager
Members of the City Commission and Management Team of the City of Clearwater
met at the Main Police Station at approximately 7:00 p.m. to present the Vision Statement
to 16 City employees. The employees were welcomed to the meeting and asked to
introduce themselves.
A packet containing the Vision Statement, Principles of Operation, Mission
Statement and Values was distributed. The Vision Statement was read. The Commission
and Management Team members commented on how they feel about the process used to
develop the statement and what the statement means to them. Each Commission and
Management Team member commented on what is now expected from the employees.
The employees broke into three groups to respond to the following 3 questions: 1 )
What are your reactions?; 2) What are your questions? and 3) How do you see yourself, as
an individual, contributing to making this Vision a reality?
The responses were reviewed with the Commission and Management Team
members.
. The Commission and Management Team members thanked the employees for being
there and for their participation.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:00 p.m.
