AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SOUTH
DRIVE AND WEST DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 340 FEET
SOUTH OF SUNSET POINT ROAD, WHOSE POST OFFICE
ADDRESS IS 1853 WEST DRIVE, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA
33755, TOGETHER WITH ALL ABUTTING RIGHT -OF -WAY
OF SOUTH DRIVE AND ALL RIGHT -OF -WAY OF WEST
DRIVE NOT CURRENTLY WITHIN THE CITY, INTO THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND REDEFINING
THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY TO INCLUDE SAID
ADDITION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner of the real property described herein and depicted on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit A has petitioned the City of Clearwater to annex the
property into the City pursuant to Section 171.044, Florida Statutes, and the City has
complied with all applicable requirements of Florida law in connection with this ordinance;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following- described property is hereby annexed into the City of
Clearwater and the boundary lines of the City are redefined accordingly:
Lot 9, Block B, CLEARWATER HIGHLANDS UNIT "B ", according to the map or
plat thereof, as recorded in the Plat Book 30, Page 29, Public Records of Pinellas County,
Florida; together with all abutting right -of -way of South Drive and all right -of -way of West
Drive from the westerly extension of the north lot line of Lot 10, Block B, Clearwater
Highlands Unit "B ", southerly 701 feet more or less.

The map attached as Exhibit A is hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance are found and determined to be
consistent with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan. The City Council hereby
accepts the dedication of all easements, parks, rights -of -way and other dedications to the
public, which have heretofore been made by plat, deed or user within the annexed
property. The City Engineer, the City Clerk and the Planning and Development Director
are directed to include and show the property described herein upon the official maps and
records of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption. The City
Clerk shall file certified copies of this ordinance, including the map attached hereto, with
the Clerk of the Circuit Court and with the County Administrator of Pinellas County, Florida,
within 7 days after adoption, and shall file a certified copy with the Florida Department of
State within 30 days after adoption.
