The Meeting was called to order at 7:31 p.m. at the Morningside Recreation Center.
One citizen spoke requesting a status report regarding the Stevenson Creek drainage basin improvements. Commission Nunamaker responded that we are preparing the engineering for the
first phase and are ready to receive bids.
Discussion ensued regarding some of the perceived delays being involved in the time necessary to obtain permits from DER and SWFWMD.
One citizen complained about dust coming from Nursery Road and US 19. A citizen questioned when there would be an overpass at Nursery and 19 and Commissioner Regulski responded that
it was not in the foreseeable future; however an overpass at Countryside Blvd. and 19 is to be in next year's plans.
In response to a question regarding whether or not the City Commission would be in favor of assisting in maintaining Capri Mobile Home Park as a Mobile Home Park, the Commission stated
it would have to judge the case on its merit. Also in response to that question, it was indicated that the citizens needed to contact the State DOT regarding the drainage ditch in front
of the mobile home park.
Commission Nunamaker questioned whether or not the residents in Morningside were satisfied with the four way stop signs along Harn Blvd. Commission Regulski responded that the stop
signs had accomplished what had been desired.
Commission Regulski questioned why voter turnout at the March 14th election had been so low. It was stated that there was general feeling of satisfaction with the City at this time.
The meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m.
